Before he was a national champion, before the runways and the math trophies, there was a boy who was afraid to speak in front of people. He loved acting. He loved being on camera. And he was terrified of making a mistake where anyone could see.
His name is Aarnav Batthula. He is eleven years old. And the distance between that nervous boy and the one who now walks onto a stage on purpose is the whole story.

The Fear Came First
It is easy to look at Aarnav now and assume confidence came naturally. It did not. For a long time, the same child who loved performing would hesitate to speak up in front of an audience, worried about getting it wrong. The love and the fear lived side by side.
What changed was not a trick or a single brave day. It was his mother.
The Turning Point
She told him her own stories. The challenges she had adapted to, the times she had wanted to give up and did not. She believed in him plainly and out loud, and that belief gave him something to borrow until he could grow his own.
So he went toward the fear instead of away from it. Acting classes. Drama clubs. Talent shows. He pushed through the slow frustration of learning guitar and trained in martial arts until he earned the title of national champion.
The breakthrough came with a lead role in a school play. He was nervous walking on. But somewhere in those first minutes on stage, the fear turned into something else. The stage was not a place to be caught making mistakes. It was a place to tell a story. When the applause came, he understood he had found what he was meant to do.
Discipline Is the Unseen Part
What Aarnav does with a week is its own kind of achievement. He balances long rehearsals, sports training, and acting classes against a strong academic record, scoring in the 95th percentile and winning math competitions. He has been turned down at auditions, and rather than take rejection as a verdict, he treats each one as a note for next time.
Talent alone is never enough. True success is forged through perseverance, resilience, and a willingness to work harder than anyone else.

In Front of the Camera
His modeling portfolio is already full: photo shoots, fashion campaigns, runway appearances. What he loves is not only the finished image but the work that makes it. The energy on set, the experimenting with a pose until it lands, the teamwork that turns a creative idea into something real.
He has plans. Top fashion brands. International runways. Maybe, one day, a clothing line of his own. Ask him where he would shoot if he could choose anywhere, and the answer is the streets of Paris or the beaches of the Maldives.
A Heart Bigger Than the Resume
Away from the set, Aarnav is an eleven-year-old who plays soccer, swims, reads, and draws. His mother, who supports the whole journey, keeps coming back to one idea: that it should stay fun, and that the real prize is the life skills underneath it, the communication and the self-confidence that outlast any single role.
The most telling thing about him is what he would do with a superpower. He would not ask for fame or fortune. He would choose to end world hunger, so that no child ever has to go to bed without a meal.
That is the boy behind the runway walk. Disciplined, still a little in awe of it all, and already thinking about other peopleโs children while building his own dream. If his story stays with you, our other pieces on boosting confidence in a child and the young talents we gather among The Luminaries are good company for it โ as is the research on how performing arts build childrenโs confidence.
A Note From Iconic Glam Kids
Aarnav Batthula is proof of something we return to often. With the right mindset and a strong person behind you, the fear does not have to be the end of the story. It can be the beginning of it.
